How to check BIOS version in Linux without rebooting the server?

Occassionally when we are doing troubleshooting, we are asked for the BIOS version. Here is a tool can help to find out the version of BIOS without rebooting the server - dmidecode, DMI table decoder. It is a tool for dumping DMI (Desktop Management Interface), or SMBIOS(System Management BIOS) table contents into a human readable format.
